Skype Is Heading To iPhone In Less Than a Week + Apple Rant!

How cool is this, the iPhone will soon be getting its very own Skype software, I can see it now, placing calls to other cellphones and landphones, while also calling PC-users who use Skype, all for free! Well I’m not sure if what I’m saying is actually a legit feature, I’m just speculating here, but if you have an iPhone, congrats!

Personally, the gadget is cool and all, but I just don’t get all the hype about it, I mean, Nokia has already released a phone that can rival it and be more of an “open source” type of phone, just like what happened with the iPod and Sony Erricson. I hate Apple with a passion to be honest, I view their business plan as oppurtunistic, protective, and monopolistic. I mean, it’s all about first party support and inflated prices, and the Mac, oh boy, don’t get me started with that, it’s a full blown hype machine! I mean, look at how many software compatibility issues it’s got, it’s like the Paris Hilton of the computing world, rich, spoiled, has to be treated in a special way, while it aint anything different from the other companies around, and you never understand what’s so appealing to it.

Speaking of Apple, Steve Jobs may have revolutionized the way we view music selling, but he aint anything special either, I dunno what’s so “mysterious” about him, it drives me nuts, I dunno if he really is overrated or I’m missing something! And by the way, ever wondered what his real motives are? Well I think I got the answer for you.

Making it Official: US Government Agencies Sign Agreements with YouTube, Flickr, Vimeo, and Blip

Unlike how most companies in the music and movie industry were utilizing and benefitting from the Web 2.0 services such as Youtube, Flickr, Vimeo and whatnot to promote their assets, US government agencies were barred from such activities, unless a sprecial direct agreement was made with the company. Well that’s no longer an issue, for the General Services Administration announced that the goverment has reached an agreement with the companies, after nine months of negotiation, that will allow the agencies to utilize and promote via the services.

Facebook Bug Reveals Private Photos, Wall Posts

And we thought Facebook is the safest place on the web, this’ll make you think twice!

Here’s a snippet from the article:

” The new bug allowed users to temporarily bypass these Limited Friends Lists, instead displaying profiles in their entirety, including photos and wall posts. Given the personal and often unprofessional nature of some photos and messages shared on Facebook, this was a potentially damaging security lapse.”
